Can-Am Maverick X3 Torrent-F Intake Plenum – Evolution Powersports

Unleash the potential of your Maverick X3 engine

The Evolution Powersports (EVP) Torrent-F intake plenum was developed to replace the stock Can-Am Maverick X3 plenum, which is known to become both restrictive and fragile as boost pressure increases.

EVP claims a gain of 5 to 12 hp with the plenum alone, depending on the turbo boost level and engine configuration.

➡️ An especially interesting upgrade for tuned Maverick X3s, but also for improving the reliability of the intake system on vehicles subjected to intensive use.

💨 Optimized airflow

The stock plenum can become a significant restriction on engines developing more power.

The Torrent-F was designed to improve airflow thanks to:

✔ Optimized intake runners

✔ Billet-machined injector mounts

✔ Geometry developed to improve flow

✔ Design adapted for high boost pressures

The runners and injector ports are directly CNC-machined from a 6061-T6 aluminum block.

💪 A much more durable design than stock

Beyond performance, EVP developed the Torrent-F to solve the strength issues encountered with the stock plenum when turbo pressure increases.

The fabricated portion is made of 1/8" (approx. 3.2 mm) aluminum, CNC-bent and TIG-welded.

A water-jet cut reinforcement is also welded onto the connection tube to improve its resistance under the most severe conditions.

🚀 Tested up to 42 PSI

The Torrent-F is not limited to mild setups.

EVP reports having used this plenum with their Desert Storm big turbo kit, up to 42 PSI of boost pressure, without encountering any issues with the plenum.

➡️ It is therefore suitable for both moderate tuning and Maverick X3s developing very significant power.

⚙️ Reinforced throttle body mounting

The throttle body mounts directly to a CNC-machined plate.

Sealing is provided by an O-ring, thereby eliminating the stock connection that uses a rubber hose and a clamp.

🔧 Integrated 1/4" port

The Torrent-F also features an integrated 1/4" port.

This can be used in particular for:

✔ A blow-off valve (BOV)

✔ A boost pressure gauge

🏁 Developed and tested in competition

The development of the Torrent-F began as early as 2018.

EVP indicates that it spent approximately two years on the development and evolution of the product, with testing in real-world conditions, in competition, and on the dyno.

The final version combines CAD design, CNC machining, CNC bending, and TIG welding to ensure excellent repeatability between each piece produced.

🔩 Bolt-on – no specific tuning required

The Torrent-F was developed as a direct replacement for the stock plenum.

Unlike some performance plenums, EVP specifies that no specific tuning is required solely for its installation: the engine retains stock-like starting, idling, and operation.

It is also compatible with:

✔ Stock boost hoses

✔ EVP boost hoses

The installation reuses the stock rubber gasket and bushings. Socket head screws and the throttle body O-ring are provided.
