DRT Internal Bypass Technology – Race Performance

The Radflo Works DRT Series 2.5" Internal Bypass Coilovers incorporate proprietary Dynamic Ride Technology (DRT).

These shocks combine:

✔ Position-sensitive damping
✔ External bypass-style performance
✔ Progressive comfort + maximum control

The result:
A vehicle that smooths out small bumps while maintaining a "bottomless" feel at high speeds in rough terrain.

How DRT Technology works

Unlike a conventional shock absorber, DRT integrates several internal hydraulic zones.

COMPRESSION

1️⃣ RIDE ZONE

Central zone around ride height.

• Internal bypass active via DRT valves
• High oil flow
  
• Maximum comfort over small bumps
• Reduction of chop & chatter

Allows the wheels to remain in contact with the ground to maximize traction and control.

2️⃣ BUILD ZONE

When the piston goes beyond the comfort zone:

• Damping force increases progressively
• Automatic adaptation to the situation
• Increased control over whoops, bumps, rocks

From 1 to 8 DRT valves strategically positioned within the travel.
Compression and rebound are independently adjustable.

3️⃣ BUMP ZONE (End of compression travel)

At full compression:

• No more bypass possible
• All oil passes through the main piston
• Maximum damping force

Prevents harsh bottoming out and high-speed bucking.

REBOUND

4️⃣ CATCH ZONE

Hydraulic capture zone:

• Prevents the vehicle from "kicking"
• Controls high forces after full compression
• Improves high-speed stability

5️⃣ REBOUND RIDE ZONE

• Progressive reduction of rebound damping
• Better control in corners, braking, and acceleration
• Reduces "packing" (prevents sagging after multiple compressions)
• Improves terrain tracking

6️⃣ TOP OUT ZONE

Associated with the Hydraulic Droop Stop (HDS):

• Slows down the end of rebound
• Reduces noise and impact
• Improves longevity

⚠️ Limit straps remain recommended depending on the application.
