ZF GS6X Gearbox to Patrol Y60 2.8 Transfer Case Adapter – IOD Performance

This IOD Performance adapter kit is specifically designed for BMW M57 engine swap projects in a Nissan Patrol Y60. It allows you to retain the original Patrol transfer case while adapting it to a BMW engine + gearbox (ZF GS6X gearbox) assembly.

Concretely, this adapter provides the mechanical connection between:

• the BMW ZF GS6X gearbox (GS6X-53DZ / GS6X-37BZ / GS6X-37DZ),
• and the Nissan Patrol Y60 2.8 transfer case,

in order to transmit the torque from the BMW M57 engine to the Patrol’s axles.

This solution allows you to benefit from the reliability, torque, and modernity of the BMW M57 engine, while retaining the robustness and compatibility of the Patrol's drivetrain (low range, axle compatibility, all-wheel drive).

Important information – Drivetrain adaptation

Depending on the suspension kit used and its settings, it may be necessary to adjust the length of the driveshafts.

The adapter causes the transfer case to move back by approximately 25 mm from its original position. This modification may affect drivetrain geometry and require driveshaft length adjustments
